Care costs rising - have your say

    07/10/2008

The cost of providing home care, respite care and day care is going up. Currently, Leeds City Council meets the cost of providing care through government and Council Tax funding and contributions from people who use services themselves. Recognising that income from taxation is unlikely to rise as fast as the real cost of care, the Council has to review the way people contribute to their own care. People who use home care, respite care and day care across Leeds are invited to say how they feel these services should be funded in the future.

    Direct Payments

Direct payments are local council payments for people who have been assessed as needing help from social services, and who would like to arrange and pay for their own care and support services instead of receiving them directly from the local council.
